Kay Henry, in the last newsletter we introduced our new product family Plate-i Plus<\/a> product family. This was influenced by customer feedback. 
Which typical project requirements have you integrated into the new camera family? <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Feedback from our customers revealed clear requirements, which we specifically implemented in the Plate-i Plus family: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • High performance at a lower entry price:<\/strong>
    The aim was to develop a product family that operates at the usual high-performance level but is available at a lower entry price. The Plate-i Plus can be used to cover demanding access scenarios \u2013\nboth free-flow and barrier solutions \u2013 while keeping entry costs low.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    • Advanced identification features for access control:<\/strong> 
      In many projects, simple license plate recognition is no longer sufficient. In addition to the license plate, additional vehicle features such as vehicle type, make & model and color are also recognized. The key factor is that these features are processed in parallel on the Plate-i Plus.  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      CARRIDA 5 was recently introduced. CARRIDA 5.1 is next. What does version 5.1 offer and why was it necessary from a project perspective? <\/strong> <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

      <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      With CARRIDA 5<\/strong> we have completely converted our software to the latest deep learning algorithms, both for license plate recognition and for other vehicle attributes. Previously, the recognized license plates and vehicle characteristics were output as separate datasets. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      CARRIDA 5.1 <\/strong>shifts the linking of license plates and vehicle attributes to the recognition process itself. The output is a structured, related dataset: a combined annotation.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      With 5.1 you get one structured, combined result. No manual matching in the target system \u2014 simpler integration, fewer mismatches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The combined annotation of license plates and vehicle attributes is a key feature of CARRIDA 5.1. Why is this more than just a technical detail?<\/strong> <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

      <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Because this changes the structure of the recognition and the data output<\/strong>. Previously, license plates and vehicle attributes were recognized separately and displayed as separate results. The connection between them then had to be established in the customer's target system. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      With 5.1 <\/strong>license plates and the associated vehicle attributes are already output as logically linked annotations.<\/strong> The assignment is thus already clearly defined in the recognition process and does not have to be created afterwards. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      A concrete example from practice: <\/strong>
      A license plate is approved, but only in connection with a specific vehicle type.\nIf the license plate is used on another vehicle, it will not be approved.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      This increases security because access authorization is no longer based on separate individual pieces of information. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
